This is my grand mother’s recipe.  She used to prepare when unexpected guests
arrive because its a very quick one and can be prepared out of the easily
available ingredients.

Wheat flour                    --   1 cup
·        
Grated coconut              --   ¼ cup
·        
Green chilly                     --   2
·        
Red chilly                         --   1 or 2
·        
Mustard seeds                --  ½ tsp
·        
Urad dal                           --   2 tsp
·        
Hing 
powder                  --   ¼ tsp
·        
Curry leaves few
·        
Oil for frying
·        
Salt to taste
Method
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds
when it splutters add urad dal, fry till brown, add chopped green chilly and
red chilly  fry for a minute add hing and
curry leaves fry for one minute.   
Transfer this into bowl add salt, grated coconut and little water then add wheat flour,
make a tight dough (light chappathi dough). 
Make small balls and roll them like small pooris and deep fry.   Easy snack is ready to serve with hot
coffee/tea.
