This is a traditional parsi chicken curry. Recipe credit goes to chef Darius M Darius. I saw this recipe on kacha rasta in NDTV GOODTIMES. Its really yummy..
CHICKEN ½ kg
ONION 1cup chopped
Tomato puree 1cup
Ginger 1tbsp chopped
Chilly powder 1tbsp
Green chilly 1
Tarmaric ¼ tsp
Garam masala 1tsp
Jeera powder 1tbsp
Salt to taste.
Sali is the topping of the dish. Cut Potatoes like match stick then fry and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and fry them till light brown then add ginger and garlic fry them till dark brown.
Then add tomato puree cook for 4 to 5 min. Then add chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala, green chilly and sauté till the oil separates .
Then add chicken nicely coat masala to chicken add salt. Then add water till it cover chicken close the lid cook in low flame till 20 min or till done. Then add jeera powder add cook till gravy becomes thick and chicken is cooked. Before serving garnish chicken curry with Sali. Goes well with brown bread,roti, white rice etc.
