Again I am back with one more old monsoon dish. I really enjoy eating jack fruit dishes. Missing my native because I get a lot of jack fruit there in my place. This is usually had as a stand alone snack but some have it for breakfast or in the evenings. It is eaten as it is or with a dollop of ghee/butter.
Ingredients
Raw rice/pachari. - 2 cup
Grated coconut. - 1 cup
Ripe Jackfruit. - 1-2 cup
Small piece of Jaggery
Salt to taste
Ghee for cooking
Method soak rice for 2 hours.
Grind grated coconut and jaggery as per your taste, add jackfruit into fine paste without adding water, then add rice and grind into coarse thick paste. Add little salt, mix well. Batter should be thick, do not add much water.
Heat dosa tawa, pour 1 ladle full of batter, dip your hands in water and slowly spread batter with your hand, or u can use ladle too. Sprinkle ghee, roast both sides nicely and serve with ghee.
